What is Rhodolite?

Rhodolite garnet is a raspberry-red, purplish-red colored garnet. In compositions - it is a mix of pyrope and almandine. Rhodolite Garnet gets its name from the Greek word, "rhodon", meaning "rose-colored", which refers to its pinkish, raspberry hue. Mother of Pearl is a 2nd Anniversary gemstone.
